Workspace concepts that stood out
Among the entries, the Your Workpod Smart earned top honors for its interior layout and acoustic panels crafted from recycled plastic bottles. Judges noted the thoughtful integration of sound‑absorbing material, which they said helped create a quieter personal zone.
In the same category, Hushoffice – hushFree.S.Hybrid received a highly commended mention for its smart ventilation system and features that support inclusivity and neurodiversity. The product’s adjustable airflow was praised as a practical response to varied user needs.
The award for adjustable collaborative furniture went to Humanscale – Float Adjustable Collaborative Tables. Judges highlighted the effortless counterbalance mechanism that lets users shift height without strain, describing the design as clean and adaptable.
Leandesk was also recognized for its blend of creativity and contemporary form, though it did not claim the top spot. The piece was noted for marrying aesthetic appeal with functional workspace demands.

Seating, flooring and carpet innovations
For seating, the Knoll’s Biboni Sofa earned a highly commended label. Its sculptural silhouette and ergonomic comfort were cited as offering both style and practicality for collaborative zones.
Flooring saw the Shaw Contract – Creative Connections Carpet Tile Collection named winner. Judges emphasized the rich textural detailing and modular flexibility that allow designers to craft varied patterns across large areas.
Close behind, the Amtico Signature – Designers’ Choice was praised for refined, pre‑curated patterns and a high level of design precision, reflecting a meticulous approach to carpet design.
The award for office chairs went to Humanscale – World Chair. Its intuitive ergonomics and lightweight, pared‑back construction were highlighted as key strengths.
Herman Miller’s Mirra 2 earned a highly commended nod, with judges pointing to its adaptive support and durable, performance‑driven build as reasons for its strong showing.

In the materials category, Ultrafabrics – Volar Bio took the top prize. The judges commended the product’s reliance on renewable inputs and its ability to deliver premium performance while reducing environmental impact.
The Arper UK – Catifa (RE) 46 was highly commended for its use of recycled content and thoughtful circular‑design strategy, showing a growing trend toward sustainability in office furnishings.
Overall, the awards program attracted a high volume of submissions, reflecting industry interest in blending aesthetic, functional and ecological goals.
Compared with previous industry recognitions, this inaugural event seems to place more weight on circular design principles, a shift that mirrors broader market movements toward resource efficiency and reduced waste. While earlier awards often highlighted pure design innovation, the current focus suggests a maturing perspective that balances creativity with responsibility.
