Shoreditch Design Week returns this September, running from the 15th to the 20th, and aims to put the East London neighbourhood back at the heart of the capital’s design dialogue. More than 60 showrooms, galleries, studios and cultural venues will open their doors for a district‑wide showcase.
The six‑day programme promises product launches, installations, talks and workshops, with the first half anchored by four major exhibitions that tackle current industry conversations.
Material innovation takes centre stage
Material choices shape tomorrow’s buildings.
Making its Shoreditch debut, Material Matters occupies the UNLOCKED space on Curtain Road. The exhibition gathers pioneering brands, manufacturers and designers to explore how material choices can support a more sustainable built environment.
House of ICON follows with a broad look at contemporary interiors, ranging from Scandinavian minimalism to expressive maximalism. Its 2026 edition presents a mix of residential, hospitality and workplace projects, illustrating how spaces are being reshaped.
International platform Isola returns, spotlighting independent designers and emerging studios that operate at the intersection of experimentation and sustainability.
Workplace design gets a deeper look
At Protein Studios, the Design at Work series, curated by OnOffice, explores the relationship between design and the workplace, considering how the spaces we work in continue to evolve.
New for 2026, Neuroplaces adds an exhibition and conference focused on neuroinclusive and accessible design, putting wellbeing and inclusion at the core of the workplace conversation.
ND Selects, curated by New Designers, showcases emerging talent with a curated selection of products from promising new businesses. Alongside it, Design Burger: The Product Design 100 celebrates a decade of influential industrial design, featuring one hundred projects that have shaped recent practice.
The wider district adds depth to the schedule, with showrooms and studios opening for launches, talks and workshops. The Wax Building, Jasper Morrison, Bethan Laura Wood, Christopher Farr, Floor Story, Holte Studio and Raw‑Edges are among the names presenting new work.
The festival is free, but attendees must register for a visitor badge. It runs as part of the London Design Festival, inviting the public to explore Shoreditch’s creative ecosystem while new products and concepts are unveiled.
