Located on Yas Bay’s waterfront, Etihad Arena showcases Abu Dhabi’s infrastructure growth, designed for versatile entertainment and event hosting. It seats up to 18,000 for large events and transforms into a 500-seat theater, reflecting the city’s strategic focus on adaptable, multi-purpose venues.
This adaptability signifies a broader strategic approach in Abu Dhabi to create landmarks that cater to a wide spectrum of public uses and the city’s changing needs. Developed by a leading developer, Etihad Arena was conceptualised by architects HOK and design firm Pascall+Watson.
Their collaborative design permits the indoor venue to transform seamlessly from a large, in-the-round arena setup to a smaller, more traditional theatre layout. This functional versatility positions the arena as a cornerstone in Abu Dhabi’s ambition to solidify its reputation as a premier host city for international sports, concerts, and cultural spectacles.
