On October 7, Abu Dhabi National Investment and Development (ADID) revealed its masterplan for ZPTM Abu Dhabi, a transformative project set to raise the emirate’s sports, education, technology, and residential environments. The phased development is slated for completion by 2032, marking a significant milestone in the region’s growth.

The vision for ZPTM Abu Dhabi was presented by Shamsa Alfahim, Chief Executive Officer of ADID, alongside Sir Kenny Dalglish, representing a leading international sports development group. The project aims to create a hub that consolidates elite sporting facilities, athlete development programmes, education, sports medicine, and performance technology.

ZPTM Abu Dhabi’s plans include state-of-the-art multi-sport training venues, a professional athlete campus, recovery and medical facilities, and testing and analytics infrastructure. The development will also feature an esports and mind sports centre, a sports and wellness hotel, and integrated residential neighbourhoods, complemented by a boarding school.

Sir Kenny Dalglish highlighted the community benefits of the project, describing ZPTM Abu Dhabi as a “fantastic opportunity for the local community.” He noted the development’s broad appeal, stating it will be an incredible sports destination, but also for everybody, with residential accommodation, world-class sports facilities, and training centres.

The project represents a significant investment in creating an environment where athletic excellence, educational advancement, and technological innovation converge, positioning Abu Dhabi as a premier global destination for sports and lifestyle. ADID and its international partners are committed to enhancing Abu Dhabi’s sports infrastructure and supporting community well-being. They will achieve this by developing a range of facilities and services that promote healthy living and social interaction.
