Technically known as ‘Ausa34b16’, the cultivar was commissioned by Sir David’s daughter, Harper. She arranged the flower to mark her father’s 50th birthday. The project was first announced back in October 2025, generating significant anticipation among gardening enthusiasts prior to its physical debut.
Visually, the rose displays luminous white blooms that are distinctively tinged with a soft blush. Its structure features semi-double flowers arranged in a gentle cup shape, which is nice. As they mature, these flowers open to reveal a starburst of golden stamens hidden inside.
The scent profile is equally detailed. The plant offers a complex fragrance characterized by notes of banana and honeyed musk. There are also distinct hints of nougat, clove, and myrrh, creating a sensory experience that differs from many standard garden varieties.

King Charles III took a moment to inspect the bloom during the press day.
